The Michigan Fashion House is a nonprofit corporation formed to develop and nurture the young
fashion design talent across the Detroit Metropolitan region and throughout the state of Michigan
to their fullest creative potential.
The organization empowers its young designers and promotes their exposure and entry into the
fashion design field with the ultimate goal of seeing them develop their own signature labels as
strong brands within the global garment industry.
The Michigan Fashion House is committed to developing the essential leadership, organizational
and creative design skills needed within the youth that it serves while guiding their development as
the foundation of a viable fashion industry within the Detroit region and the State of Michigan.
We instill within our youngsters the importance of the human element as well, and in doing so, The
Michigan Fashion House will continue to consistently provide as many less fortunate individuals
and families in Michigan as possible with necessary quality clothing.
Finally, growth of the fashion industry in Michigan to a widespread recognition level requires a
robust, multi-faceted and sustained effort. The Michigan Fashion House is committed to
accelerating and achieving this goal of growth by also educating the public in the art and history of
design. We are especially dedicated to the talent pool development of our young designers and
believe strongly it is through them that the region will grow and thrive as a cultural center.
We are behind our young people one hundred percent and enlist the support of families and you
our friends as we move towards this great goal.
